Senator Arlen Specter appeared on MSNBC to discuss Card Check with Andrea Mitchell and he accurately described his situation. He has the wounds from being directly in the middle of things lately but most of those wounds are coming as a result of turning from the middle to the left.
With a heated primary election to come I foresee several right turns in Specter’s future as he tries to woo back enough of the base to keep his job. Whether his vote on Card Check was a vote of conscience or a vote of expediency, well that will be up to the voters to decide.
