I’m not sure of Mr. Pitts’ point.
He says he is all for health care for kids. Does he want to do it with $1.19 tax on a gallon of milk, or taxing people 62c every time they buckle up their seat belts, or taxing toothpaste at 96c a tube?
Or is his idea that we’d be better off reducing the 15 types of cancer that tobacco use causes by taxing people, and throwing the money away?
We need honest and intelligent conservatives in Congress. I have no reason to think that Joe Pitts is not honest, but every time he opens his mouth, he raises doubts as to his intelligence and his credentials as a conservative.
