Pitts – FBI Surveillance Tools Stop Terrorism

Rep. Pitts calls for key provisions of the PATRIOT Act to be renewed so that the FBI can continue to discover and prosecute terrorists.

It’s a touching story Mr. Pitts but some of the Patriot Act provisions need to be amended significantly or it shouldn’t be extended. I preferred Leahy’s original bill that got rejected. We need more oversight and protections for civil liberties, I guess this makes me a bad republican. Oh well.
