I worked the polls for 10 hours on Tuesday and was disappointed to only see 170 people show up to vote in my district. I wrote this on facebook and got quite a few comments.
There are 502,000 people in Lancaster PA approx 400,000 are registered to vote and only 56,398 bothered to vote yesterday. In Lancaster city with 56,000 people only 7,262 people voted for mayor. Are you happy that 4-5% of the population is making decisions that will affect you and your family for years to come. Heck if you have enough facebook friends in lancaster you could be mayor!
