Today marks the day when Arlen Specter decided that it did not serve his self interest to stay in the republican party so he switched and became a democrat. It wasn’t just a party switch it was a complete policy switch as well. All of a sudden Senator Specter’s “principled positions” have taken pronounced left turn.
