Chester County Officials Hold Press Conference on the Romney-Ryan Campaign in PA

Romney Ryan campaign Pennsylvania

Jeff Levin talks about small business in PA

Tuesday, September 24, 2012, Chester County’s Republican Party of Chester County Chairman Val DiGiorgio joined Chester County Commissioner & Romney for President Chester County Co-Chairman Ryan Costello and business owner Jeff Stein in  discussing the Romney-Ryan campaign and recent statistics affecting Pennsylvania.

In a room filled with volunteers at the campaign headquarters in Paoli, PA, DiGiorgio offered a picture of hope in the president race supporting Mitt Romney for President and unsurpassed vigor among volunteers in Pennsylvania. Costello followed with a push of facts reinforcing Romney’s history of successful leadership. Jeff Levin shared his own experience as a business owner over the last four years under President Obama’s command.

Quotes from the event:

Val DiGiorgio, Republican Party of Chester County Chairman, stated:

“We are right on track to elect Mitt Romney this November. Across the country people are coming out in full force to do their part to get MittRomney elected. Here in Pennsylvania,  volunteers have made 8 times more phone calls and 74 times more door knocks than this time in 2008. As of this past Saturday volunteers in Pennsylvania knocked on over 430,000 doors; which is more than the total doors knocked in PA in 2004 and 2008 combined. Americans are a generous, compassionate, hard-working people – and we know they’ll elect a president who will restore the American promise for everyone and work to ensure a prosperous future for our children and grandchildren.”

Ryan Costello, Chester County Commissioner, added:

“Four years ago, Barack Obama promised the American people that he would fundamentally change how Washington works. But it seems as if the President has thrown in the white flag and said he can’t change Washington from the inside. This November, voters will give Barack Obama the chance to leave Washington when they elect new leadership to the White House. Mitt Romney has the experience and record of achievement we need to fix the economy and take us in a better direction – and unlike President Obama, he’s done it before: As governor, he inherited a $3 billion deficit and legislature that was 85% Democrat. He immediately cut spending, balanced four budgets without raising taxes, and left $2 billion in the rainy day fund while lowering unemployment to 4.7%. As president, Mitt Romneywill implement a five-point Plan for a Stronger Middle Class that will lead to a recovery that creates 12 million jobs and grows the economy on average by 4 percent per year. He has the right experience and the right plan to do what President Obama hasn’t – end politics as usual in Washington and get America back on the right track.”

Jeff Stein, Small Business Owner, gave his perspective:

“President Obama’s comments reflect just how unqualified he is to lead us to a real economic recovery. Did any of you see him on TV last night? He admitted that he has not delivered what he said he would and as President takes responsibility. When you have a company that has decreased sales year after year, what happens to their president or CEO? He gets replaced. Look at all the professional sports teams, if they are below 500 year after year, what happens to their GM or head coach, he gets replaced. So why would we want another 4 years with someone who has been unable to produces for the United States? It is time for a change and the best person to do that is Mitt Romney. He has a proven track record of successes and that is very important to me not only as a small business owner, but as a citizen of this country!”

2016 Obama’s America: In-depth Documentary About Obama’s Life

Movie about Obama

When you check your local movie listings, you will notice a new one this month: 2016 Obama’s America. This movie was created by Gerald R. Molen and Dinesh D’Souza to share with you the background of your president and what it will mean for our country if he stays in office.

In this movie, you will join D’Souza on a journey of diverse interviews examining the family and influencers that make our president who he is and explains a good deal about the decisions he is making. You learn about his book “Dreams From My Father” and how Obama idolized a man who hated whites and colonialists and who wrote books advocating 100% taxation. You hear from his brother George who is perfectly happy with Obama trying to fix the world rather than spending time with him, since D’Souza indicates that is exactly what Obama is doing – trying to fix the world rather than showing pride in what the U.S. can accomplish. Watch it for yourself and let us know what you think.

WATCH THE TRAILER.

ABOUT THE MOVIE:

2016 Obama’s America takes audiences on a gripping visual journey into the heart of the world’s most powerful office to reveal the  struggle of whether one man’s past will redefine America over the next four years. The film examines the question, “If Obama wins a second term, where will we be in 2016?”

Across the globe and in America, people in 2008 hungered for a leader who would unite and lift us from economic turmoil and war. True to America’s ideals, they invested their hope in a new kind of president, Barack Obama. What they didn’t know is that Obama is a man with a past, and in powerful ways that past defines him–who he is, how he thinks, and where he intends to take America and the world.

Immersed in exotic locales across four continents, best selling author Dinesh D’Souza races against time to find answers to Obama’s past and reveal where America will be in 2016. During this journey he discovers how Hope and Change became radically misunderstood, and identifies new flashpoints for hot wars in mankind’s greatest struggle. The journey moves quickly over the arc of the old colonial empires, into America’s empire of liberty, and we see the unfolding realignment of nations and the shape of the global future.

Emotionally engaging, 2016 Obama’s America will make you confounded and cheer as you discover the mysteries and answers to your greatest aspirations and worst fears.

Romney & Ryan – A Study In Contrasts

In selecting a running mate, Mitt Romney could not have made a better pick than Paul Ryan. The placement of Congressman Ryan on the ticket ensures that this election will be about big ideas. And thanks to this choice, the coming months will offer a heated debate between two starkly different visions
for America’s future.

This contest will highlight, among other things, the smallness of President Obama’s so-called leadership. During his time in Congress, Paul Ryan has laid out concrete proposals to restore solvency to our nation’s coffers. He understands the seriousness of the threat that the nearly $16 trillion national debt poses to the next generation. He has not been afraid to tackle entitlement reform and has sought allies across the aisle in his efforts to do so.

Nothing could be more different from the course President Obama has pursued. Throughout his time in office, President Obama has presided over record-breaking deficits and historic increases to the national debt. Instead of reforming entitlements, he’s sought to create new ones (Obamacare) or undo successful reforms (welfare), all at a time when we can least afford it.

Apart from higher taxes and more regulations, President Obama has no ideas how to reduce the deficit and revive our economy. Even Democrats reject his budget proposals. And he cannot blame partisanship for his woes: during his first two years in office, Democrats controlled both Houses of Congress.

Mitt Romney has made a bold and important choice in tapping Congressman Ryan as his number two. As the Obama campaign trumpets pettiness because they have no record to run on, the Romney-Ryan ticket brings fresh ideas and bold leadership. That’s exactly the kind of change our country needs in the White House.

Potential VP Portman to Campaign for Romney in Lancaster Monday

Ohio Sen. Rob Portman, reportedly on Gov. Mitt Romney’s short list of prospective vice-presidential candidates, is expected to visit Lancaster County on Monday to rally supporters and stump for the Republican nominee.

Portman, a rising star in national Republican politics, is scheduled to arrive at theLancaster County Farm & Home Center, 1383 Arcadia Road, Lancaster, at 11:30 a.m. and take the stage at noon to address a throng of Republicans. The event is free and open to the public. Organizers say this will be an opportunity for Romney supporters to join coalitions, purchase Romney memorabilia and meet the man who may very well be the next vice-president of the United States.

“The fact that Lancaster is a primary stop for the potential vice-presidential nominee demonstrates the importance of our county in this election,” said Scott Boyd, Chairman of the Republican Committee of Lancaster County. “Make no mistake, Pennsylvania is in play, and Lancaster County is pivotal to turning PA red.”

Media reports claim Gov. Romney has narrowed his field of prospective running-mates to Portman and a few others. Other outlets claim that Portman is one of two potential finalists.

To RSVP, please call 717-746-8098 and leave your name and phone number, or send an email TeamPA@MittRomney.com.

Could Twitter help win PA for Romney?

In a recent article from the Post Gazette the question of twitters presidential power is raised.

Can Twitter matter?

The Republican and Democratic parties think so. In this tight presidential race, a national battle is on. And the ammo includes thousands of tweets, 140-character messages shot off to hundreds of thousands of followers, a blizzard of news, talking points, zingers, datelines and instructions to the faithful.

Nowhere is it fiercer than in Pennsylvania. The commonwealth has lost 45 percent of its electoral clout since 1932, and it hasn’t backed a GOP presidential candidate since 1988. But in a year when every electoral vote is golden, Republicans swear it’s in play and Democrats are fighting as if it is.

There you have it, tweet early and tweet often and PA can be in play in November.
