in PA News

Former Governor Mark Schweiker has been generating a little buzz as a potential candidate for Senate in 2012.

His name has been mentioned a few times as the GOP’s ideal candidate and at the PA Society former Lancaster Committee Chairman Chet Beiler asked former Gov Schweiker to let him and others “draft him to run”. Schweiker didn’t encourage or discourage the idea.

Corbett indicates he’ll be a man of few words – Pittsburgh Tribune-Review

Saying he is still in “grand jury mode,” Attorney General Tom Corbett, governor-elect of Pennsylvania, made it clear that as governor he won’t say much about issues until he is absolutely ready to make an announcement.

“I’m not Ed Rendell,” said Corbett, a Shaler Republican, referring to the loquacious outgoing governor who held frequent news conferences and was prone to speaking off the cuff.

…and the people of Pennsylvania breathe a sigh of relief
