In their endorsement convention this evening the Republican Committee of Lancaster County met and endorsed county wide candidates. In the two contested races Leonard G. Brown III won the endorsement for Judge in the court of common pleas and Katherine Wood-Jacobs won the endorsement for Lancaster Prothonotary.

Other endorsed candidates (in non contested races) are as follows.

The straw polls have ended for the Republican Committee of Lancaster County and two candidates have emerged victorious.

In the race for judge of the court of common pleas Leonard G. Brown III won with 65% of the vote. The final tally in the race was Leonard G. Brown III with 188 votes and Merrill M. Spahn Jr. with 101 votes.

In the race for Lancaster Prothonotary Katherine Wood-Jacobs won the straw polls with 61% of the vote. The final results for Lancaster Prothonotary had Katherine with 175 votes and Jonathan Lutz with 110 votes.

The straw polls are non binding and are a way for candidates to gauge their support prior to the countywide endorsement convention. The endorsement convention will be held on February 15th at the Lancaster Farm and Home Center.

Other candidates seeking endorsement also went through the straw poll process even though they were unopposed.
