The Independence Hall Tea Party Association is throwing a Christmas tea party to commemorate the 226th Anniversary of the first tea party in Philadelphia.
Please join us as the Independence Hall Tea Party Assoc. holds a CHRISTMAS TEA PARTY commemorating the 226th Anniversary of the First Philadelphia Tea Party.
The event is from 2 to 3 PM on Sunday December 27, 2009 at Independence Mall, 5th and Chestnut Streets, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and features Dom Giordano as Dr. Benjamin Rush, leader of the December 27, 1773 Philadelphia Tea Party.
Refreshments and music are planned. Bring Family, Friends, and Neighbors! This event is Free and Open to the Public.
I was watching this video and couldn’t help but think of ye Grand Olde Party.
When was the last time you woke up and thought man I just want to go volunteer with the local GOP. If you’re like me and most of the people I know that has never happened. Rather you can quickly assemble a long list of gripes you have with your local GOP.
Well rather than complain and beat a dead horse I’m going to do something about it. I am attempting to join the local republican party as a committeeman. Here are my reasons for doing so…
The GOP endorsement is pretty important in Lancaster and my vote there will have the greatest effect
I believe more people need to get involved in local politics
I was at a committee meeting during the McCain campaign and I didn’t see signs of a succession plan
During the same campaign I learned that 1/3 of committee people don’t have email and you wonder why the GOP is losing online
When I tried to learn how to join there was no information, it’s like they don’t want people joining the club
I want to learn more about how the system works (or doesn’t) then blog about it
I’ll be blogging as I go and maybe I can persuade the GOP to trot out the Grand and Party and be less boring.
